To this day, the people of the Lower Valley of the Omo, including the Mursi, Suri, Nyangatom, Dizi and Me'en, are studied for their diversity.

Chott el Djerid, Tunisia



Chott el Djerid also spelled Sciott Gerid and Shott el Jerid, is a large endorheic salt lake in southern Tunisia. The name can be translated from the Arabic into English as "Lagoon of the Land of Palms".

Saint Petersburg is Russia's second-largest city after Moscow, with five million inhabitants.

Museum and a historic monument in Paris. Oddly this postcard came from Russia from a fellow postcrosser.

Corfu, Greece


Corfu is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea. It is the second largest of the Ionian Islands, and, including its small satellite islands, forms the northwesternmost part of Greece.

San Francisco, USA



This one came from a fellow postcrosser with probably the most interresting stamps.  The Total Eclipse of the Sun Forever stamp, which commemorates the August 21 eclipse, transforms into an image of the Moon from the heat of a finger.

Dingle Peninsula, Ireland


The Dingle Peninsula is the northernmost of the major peninsulas in County Kerry. It ends beyond the town of Dingle at Dunmore Head, the westernmost point of Ireland.
